Originally from Northern British Columbia Canada, Riley found a deep love of storytelling from an early age. A self-proclaimed storytelling nerd, she moved to Vancouver to pursue a career in film and television. Highly creative from a young age, she was always on the forefront of anything artistic, even winning a bursary for her school’s film & television class. The first ever from her school to do so. After arriving in Vancouver Riley attended the award winning Vancouver Film School.
While balancing VFS’ infamously massive workload, she was cast and performed in the play 'In a Dark, Dark House' at Beatty Street Studios. The play was directed by Michael Bean (The Day the Earth Stood Still, 2009) and written by Neil LaBute (Van Helsing, 2016), she starred alongside Sage Brocklebank (Psych, 2006-2014) and Michael Karl Richards (Chesapeake Shores, 2016-2017). Soon after graduating from VFS Riley was accepted into the Fulfilling Young Artist Mentorship Program.
While there she created the comedy short; Animals Amongst Men (2012) with Kyra Zagorsky (Continuum, 2015) as her Mentor. Riley has shown herself to be highly driven, (she is a Slytherin after all) focusing on writing and now directing. Her projects have been shown in various festivals including Giggleitus (2015), Clownz (2014), Cherry Blossoms in March (2019) and was the Production Manager on the Crazy8’s film No Reservations (2017).
